Mai-Yin Johnston

Mai-Yin brings a strong interdisciplinary background in both natural and social sciences to her role at Mantle Developments. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Toronto, with minors in Political Science and Environmental Studies, as well as a Certificate of Sustainability. Her approach to climate solutions and urban resilience is informed by both technical and sociopolitical perspectives, with a focus on policy-driven implementation.

Prior to joining Mantle Developments, Mai-Yin conducted research on global urban resilience policy at the University of Toronto and contributed to various community-based resilience and carbon reduction initiatives for non-profit and governmental organizations. Her experience includes developing municipal adaptation strategies, creating tools for businesses and policymakers to advance environmental efforts, and working on federal carbon policy. Mai-Yin's diverse expertise in project management, research, and sustainability drives her commitment to advancing urban resilience and sustainability within the built environment.
