Kathleen Kauth
Chief Operating Officer
Kathleen is a clean technology professional with deep experience in business development, operations, and product development. From solar power to battery optimization software, she has driven value creation across a wide swath of cleantech solutions. As Mantle’s COO, Kathleen’s overarching goal is to enable maximum impact in the climate transition through supporting operations, strategy, business development, and team management.
Prior to Mantle Developments, Kathleen worked in business development and sales for large, strategic customers at Voltus, a leading energy demand response company in North America. Kathleen also led efforts to develop projects and products for electric vehicle grid integration at Peak Power. Prior to Peak, Kathleen was immersed in the innovation space at MaRS Discovery District, leading partnerships and operations for their energy team, the Advanced Energy Centre. Finally, back to the beginning, Kathleen supported business development and operations at Blackstone Energy Solutions, a solar power project developer.
Before committing her career to the fight against climate change, Kathleen’s professional journey began in athletics, having won an Olympic medal in Torino, Italy and two World Championship medals in the years leading up to Torino.
She has an undergraduate degree from Brown University in Biology/ Pre-Medicine, as well as a master’s degree in International Public Health from Boston University. A life-long learner, she has completed the three CFA exams, and is continually taking online courses in various subjects, from accounting to history.
