Mantle Developments conducted a national and international literature review of existing codes, standards, guidelines, and resources, to support the Canadian Standards Association’s (CSA) climate resilience and adaptation research in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) sector. Through this project, CSA gained insight into the existing codes, standards, and guidelines for climate resilience and adaptation, which lays the foundation for future developments on this topic. The study demonstrates the lack of and needs for resources specifically designed for the CRE sector, and recommendations for future support. Our report includes research on climate risk assessments, risk mitigation measures, and supporting enabling factors.
